His future is in the second row. His workload is that of a forward. Carts the ball upfield with little to no footwork. He doesn't have the ability to beat defenders like an elite centre but can do a better job that anyone we currently have. He definitely deserves a centre spot on current form.
I rewatched the game and Samrani just needs to be careful on turning his shoulders. He sometimes turns in on Moses player and left Kelly with a 2 v 1 to defend. One Kelly made the tackle, the other time Laybutt dropped the ball with the line open.
This year we could be pretty strong with Samrani at center and Penisini on the wing. I like the idea of Will at wing because of his blend of speed and power.
Next year I do see Samrani locking down the left center spot, so we need to find a good winger to partner Will on the right.
"Agree, Samrani just seems to be in the right place at the right time and can find the line, he is not the quickest or have flashy footwork so eventually see him moving to second row but he is just reliable.
TDS was great last night and is damn…"

💯 I was at the game last night, his reads in defence and lateral speed in terrible, he actually spent a lot of time on the wing
Samrani is a valuable player for us as a centre / mobile edge forward. I really hope the club retains him.

He has no speed. When is the last time he scored a runaway try? He could be a good meter eater in the wing, not a speedy one.
