Keys to beating manly in the wet ?

Moses would have been great to have available for this game but it does seem very winnable still. Manly usually love to run around us with their speed but the wet weather should really favour us in that aspect. If our forwards can play to a similar level of last week should have a good shot. Any other keys to winning this one ?

      • Still not named but hope he gets a run but at who's expense - we will go big with this weather so he might have to wait some more

  •  pressure Jakob Arthur

    • Au contraire. Let Jakob get in the clear, sit back and have a picnic to catch their breath, then chase him down. He will spend so much energy galloping not that far away from stationary players that he will run out of puff for much else.

  • Jeez a blog that is not about Galvin. Almost like we forgot we had a game today lol.

    • All the advice in this blog is about Motherhoods.....have application every day of the week.

      This is a different opportunity.

Hopefully the boys have been taken aside and watched (again in many cases) last nights game between the dogs and dolphins.

Couple of things stand out i.e. concentation on every play (and the play the ball, number of air swings lst night), a simple plan to advise each other the care in every play, the fact the ball will stop and not roll, so kick deep to the corners. Possesion will turn over pretty regularly.

Finally kicking from line drop outs are better going long and low. Grubber kicks in the red zone should be a mandatory option and follow through, no "star jumping" for high balls. Impossible to take those sort of catches.

Papilli and JAC should be using their speed to chase down town kicks, no back is going to rip you apart on the return and watch Saab, he will be under most high balls ....look for his tap backs and clean up behind where he jumps.

The information was all there in the game last night, just focus!.....we have a wonderful opportunity to be smarter than our opponents....dont fcuk it up.

    • who?

  • Keys to beating Manly in the wet?

Versus Knights, in the 'negative play' category, Penisini led the way with 9 (5 errors, 3 handling errors, 1 penalty), followed by Hopgoode and Lomax with 7. I can forgive Lomax, his negative play was mostly high-effort contestation for kick or passing for tries. Penisini is just a speed break in attack and Hopgoode is guilty of poorly timed concentration lapses.

So, tell Penisini and Hopgoode to not mess up, kick well, chase well, complete high, have few missed tackles, and let Manly implode.

I may be a cynic but it's either a close win due to some luck finally bouncing our way, or the Eels slither about completely lost and Moanly run up a score.

  • The keys is hold onto it on 3rd kick it dont wait to last tackle because every tackle we take more of a chace we will drop it and they score and win

And who our goal kicker both our goal kick are out

    • Unfortunately Sean Russell will kick goals lol

      • 🙄🙄🙄😞😞

Joash should just maintain his line, no need to rush"
