  • He is 28 mid next year, has 2-3 really good years minimum left. He is an international, he deserves it. Plus his versitility ups his price too.

  • If reports are correct didn't we pay $950K to Jnr and he arguably isn't in the top 10 middle forwards?! Keon is a kangaroo and is still young enough to get 5 good years out of.  No brainer $900K well invested.  Please Parra!!!!!

  • Considering talk of AFB, Haas, Tino, JFH, Tapine even Jake Trobjevic are close to or over $1million I would place Keaon in similar company or just below some of them.  He has played in shit sides with no direction and poor kicking game which means as a forward he has had to work it out his own half under fatigue.

We have the money so even if slightly overs we need to bite the bullet and get someone like him.  Having rep quality players improves the clubs chances of retaining and signing other talent.  Hopefully Moses and JAC are getting on well with him in camp.

  • I would rather pay $900k for Keaon than $1.4m for Tino.

    • It's become a lot more difficult to secure outside signings especially with the bears, and later the chief's both with huge bankrolls.

We should be going hard for lesser likes like Lindsay Smith and Liam Henry who as the panthers usually prefer paying unders and relying on their jnrs if they don't secure their top 17.

      • Smith would demand close to similar money. He made Ashes squad.

        • I don't think the panthers are going to pay 850 or 900 to keep Smith.   They'll try 650 to 700

          • Didn't say they would I'm saying he could very well demand the same as Keaon.

      • I like the idea of Liam Henry.

Young, aggressive and plenty of potential plus he'd be alot cheaper

    • Yep

I see Keon's price as irrelevant (within reason), because he is an absolute no brainer for the Eels.
