For all we know Walker asked his manager to push a little harder. If a manager went rouge without the players say so , he'd be sacked on the spot. Like an agent selling your house , ultimately they suggest , but you'd have to approve the next move.
My guess is Walkers fielded larger offers from shithouse clubs and the greedy part of him needed to feel like he was losing less money to extend at Easts so couldn't help but try to squeeze a fraction more. Unfortunately for him , it's a buyers market with a few big names in circulation over the next 12 months , and Uncles just won a comp ffs. Not to mention DCE contributed more to the premiership.
