That's a busy part of the site. Set aside some time if you're going there...

I actually think the Raiders publicly withdrawing their offer for Hudson Young is a favour for him and it would have been carefully negotiated.
PNG can't sign players for unders despite their enormous tax incentives, but if there are no other credible offers on the table then it's an easier path for Young to accept "the only offer" he has which will no doubt be less than Canberra was offering (but will end up with WAY more in his pocket thanks to the tax concessions).
Canberra removing their offer is a huge win for Young and they would know it. It was written in the press statement as a punishment ("we have done all we can"), when in reality it was actually a reward.
I just think it's as simple as lots of money being thrown around at present due to the NRLs poor management adding two clubs in short succession, one being a tax free dump. Players are drunk with greed , so a couple of clubs are reminding them their actions have consequences.
It's quite common to pull an offer in the real world. It's only the lopsided player negotiating world where clubs are too scared to use it in fear of losing the little talent that's out there . Now that a couple have shown some balls let's hope it becomes more of a common occurrence.
"And my reply is exactly the same, we wont go for Walker to replace Luai. Only Moses. Nor do i think Walker comes to Parramatta to partner Moses, who unlike DCE, would not be willing to take a backseat."

I thought it was because no one else is gonna do it
Nah, there's a few videos to the contrary... so I've been told ...

If this means we are landing a Bradman best then Samrani is no longer needed. Best of luck to him tho
Eli Stephens what if Best does an ACL in the first match .....or any part of the season for that matter....his injury record is not great?
