I remember listening to him in the 80s when I was quite young as my mum worked on the sewing machine and she would have him on in the background.
As an adult, I listened to him from time to time while I was on the road. He did slow down a lot over the years and he lost a fair bit of his wit. He had quite a few regular callers who would call in to give it to him and they made his shows very entertaining at times.
It's quite sad but he had a very good innings. It's the end of an era for radio - rest in peace John Laws.
"Brown has been class for NZ before, too. Yet, that elite level of play, I'd say we have seen at Parramatta maybe two or three times in his entire tenure at the club. And it was only ever when Moses was firing. "

If anyone here has not listened to the Pykes Nursery call, do yourself a favour.
Even if you have heard it before, do yourself a favour hahahahah.
The golden tonsils is gone, but will be always be remembered. My Dad loved him and listened to him everyday on 2SM. I wonder how Norman is tonight?

He had the rule of never hanging up on people i believe. Again, made for great radio with that rule.
I wonder to this day if Norman was fair dinkum or a plant?
