I remember listening to him in the 80s when I was quite young as my mum worked on the sewing machine and she would have him on in the background.
As an adult, I listened to him from time to time while I was on the road. He did slow down a lot over the years and he lost a fair bit of his wit. He had quite a few regular callers who would call in to give it to him and they made his shows very entertaining at times.
It's quite sad but he had a very good innings. It's the end of an era for radio - rest in peace John Laws.
