Some early Friday morning scuttlebutt on Facebook saying Eels have made an offer to sign Thomas Jenkins from the Panthers. I really have no idea if this is true or the validity behind the rumours, but this is a signing I can definitely get behind. Hopefully we've made him a great offer that puts Penrith in a difficult position to retain him. They have Tago and To'o on around $800k each, Alomoti and McClean on moderate deals, so it's a stacked backline and someone's gotta go, and they can't keep them all.
Jenkins is young and has a great career ahead of him, if we storm in with slightly overs for 3+ years it will be a great investment because we're shit at developing wingers. Let's hope this rumour is true 🤞

- Jenkins
That's a solid backline to build on.
Anyone with inside goss feel free to let us know?

That makes him a $600k winger, and yeah than he's a good value get. It gives us elite coverage if we lose our 5/8, FB, or winger.
Parra need to get this done ASAP.
He has only played Centre and Wing in Cup and NRL. Not sure where the talk of him playing 1 & 6 came from but he hasn't played either in open age footy.
I think Simmo is just about done with this recent injury, sadly. That's a big mountain for him to climb.
Unfortunately i agree Clintorian. If anything he will miss some of next year.
I think now Simmo's role becomes depth and experience amongst the team, but not really a priority 1st Grader.
He might say I want to go elsewhere to start and so be it. But yeah his injury may lead him to miss a portion of 2027. Surely he wouldn't be sweet to just jump right in playing he'd need time in Cup.
Correct very much doubt he'll be back to his best.
Either Jenkins or Simo to left centre to replace Russel?
NOS I would have Jenkins on the wing. He is lethal in the air. Moses kicking to him would be a great attacking option for us!
Great points!
