        • Michael, Galvin was considering us. I know that. His family were pushing him to go to Parramatta but Luke Vella and Ciraldo pitch for him being 7 got him to Dogs. He considered us.

Keaon on the other hand heard we had an meeting, but only offered a short deal, but it was mentioned not tabled. So technically could say we didn't even offer a deal. Now i know you and i disagree with Keaon but that deal i think is being overplayed how much we went for him. Personally i think we should have as his dad said he would have taken a reasonable offer.

As for Jenkins, reason i and a few others are disheartened is not Jenkins himself, it is he is the best of what is left, discounting Taulagi as he seems odds on for Easts. I am a massive advocate of not signing for the sake of signing. Jenkins would not of been that as you are getting quality with good age and skills. But also, i would have chosen Taulagi over Jenkins too.

As for Wilson, he needs to sack his managment. They have not steered him well at all. Imagine if he came to Parramatta in 2024? He would have played every game and in 2025 as well.

        • People are losing their shit because we can't even sign such players you regard as a reserve grader and only looking good on the end of the panthers backline,  you get?.

          • Jenkins is better than reserve grader for sure. He is better than what we have, take out JAC.

            • He regards wilson as the reserve grader, which he is, and Jenkins as looking good at the panthers, both true. It's the fact we can't even sign players he considers as not worth worrying about is the reason we are worried.

        • Sorry mate but if we put big money infront of Galvin Kolomatangi and Barnett we must have at least thought we had a shot at these players or what would be the point putting your best in front of them.

Something is missing in the recruitment stakes.I don't know what it is but as a club and FG side if we keep losing these battles the war will never be won.

Me I'm watching the sides assembled up at the Dolphins Newcastle and the Warriors and saying I want a piece of that pie.One person has had his finger prints on those sides and they have all turned the corner in the last 3-5 years.I'll say this now if we are going to recruit somebody that's making a huge difference in the recruitment stakes Parra need to be head hunting Peter O'Sullivan and they can't change the signage on a door in head office fast enough.

Bin the whole R and R committee bin it rethink the whole space and anyone not named Jason Ryles is out.

          • O' Sullivan as well would have the ego to take the Eels job, to be seen as the one to change them.

  • And the Dolphins centre Herbie is being chased by the Roosters, I've said it before their recruitment is so superior to the Eels, boy they need to lift.

    • Yeah I was always each way, as poppa would call me, in that they should go but also not everything they do is awful.
I also said let's wait til it is done to see what they come up with then judge. But I said it with the caveat that if the likes of Jenkins stay or go elsewhere panic is fair.

Its getting ridiculous now as there are no other top quality Wingers, he's was the last one for now. Unless you just throw cash at Murray Taulagi before Roosters officially get him. But it is starting to hit worry territory for me now Jenkins is off the market.

I was against the idea of throwing the money we would need to throw to get him. Now it's a case of probably just do it, he would lead to getting at least another 2 signings simply from him being there.

    • Herbie is a million dollar centre and that's the only price he will leave the Dolphins for I would assume.

      • We would need to offer $1.3+ to get him.
