Hayne was naturally gifted no doubt. But every coach he had said he was a poor trainer. He was also a bad influence on the team . Then threw in the towel and fucked off only to return and choose The Titans . Sorry champ hard life lesson , poor choices and huge ego have consequences.

Sorry Wiz, I remember those times very Cleary! he didn't choose the Titans over us. He was waiting till the last minute for us to offer him a contract...which we did not do. rememeber his mye Tim Mannah approaching the club on his behalf to find out what's going on?
apparently Mr Sheen head Greenberg would not give the club info about our cap space? It was crippling. Maybe it's coz Titans needed a big star like Hayne?? After all they did have a huge TPA ready and waiting think two days after Mannah went to see club and deal was done.
Doubt anyone needs any proof about how much he wanted to play with us over anyone else? I've never seen a player look as conflicted as he did at titans press conference and he certainly played thst way for them too
I don't recall that being said publicly at time but must've been told to him...funny the club never put it out there that Jarryd didn't choose titans over us (which many of us knew he would never do). Simply, he was forced to go. He was left hanging badly.
remember you and I getting the frustrations over the crippling ordeal Mr Sheen had our club positioned in at the time. Club kept in dark over cap position was dispicable and Todd got his way in end. It was absolutely clear to me (nrl) wanted Jarryd up there to rescue Titans and not where he wanted to be back home with us.
anyway, wish there was a position he could land working with our upcoming youth at least. If no good so be it wouldn't be the first time but give him an opportunity is deserved. Help him help us.

When you cut out a team cancer you don't offer it a part-time job

Sometimes they're the best kind of people to learn from Wiz. Connecting with people that have made past mistakes are people you can learn from, they can guide you on the pitfalls and give some real examples of what they'd do better, as opposed to just learning from the clinical people that got it right the whole way through.
I hope he goes well and funnels as much talent from out west to the Blue&Gold as he can.
It totally peez me off tgat he is never acknowledged anywhere in current nrl highlights or past years either! It's like he never played the game in their eyes but not the fans eyes...what's even worse is that his own club he loves can't find somewhere he can work, with back five as a bloody minimum. He has always read the game twice as well as any coach thst coached him! The games Einstein needs to be involved with our club somewhere. Give Jarryd a go :)
"Every 5/8th or halfback requires possession to do any damage. It was lost on a lot of fans in 2024 when the Eels were lucky to win 45% of the ball due to the insane amount of errors.
Every half relies on a pack for field position, and relies on…"
"Garrick would not sign with us for that amount unless we offered him 4 or 5 years which I hope we don't. He rejected Manly's 2 year $1m extension so would be after more $$$ or years for security. "
"You've been banging this drum for years Coryn and you are absolutely correct. Honestly mean it, shame you aren't scouting for us and in fact there's also another couple of ppl here I wish were involved with club in that. There ive said it ;)
Funny I…"
