Iongi 8 weeks, Doorey season

Isaiah Iongi will miss a minimum of 8 weeks with his injury, puts him in line for a return against Newcastle in Round 13 off a bye in Round 12. Joash gets 7 games at the helm.

Unfortunate for Doorey who will be missing the season and start of next season with his ACL. Such a shame as he was starting to get into form after season, after season of injuries.

  • Sucks for Doorey, he worked hard to get that first grade spot, earned it, and copped an ACL, it's a brutal sport. Hope he comes back strong and fit next season. This now looks like it opens the spot up for Moretti, and then Teancum comes in. If there's a silver lining in this shit sandwich, it's that Teancum gets a first grade opportunity after some impressive trial form.

Joash getting a crack is also something to be admired. Working hard in the shadows and biding his time, I really hope he makes the most of it and crushes it on the field. The short king fullbacks like Jye Grey, Trey Fuller, Keanu Kini have shown you don't need to be 6ft to make an impact on the game these days. Lucky we brought in Pezet to play 5/8 and still had Joash to cover FB, or then we'd be in deep shit.

  • So Longi gets 8 to 10 weeks on the sidelines and the player responsible gets 1 week. Sounds a tad uneven. If the NRL wants to stomp out the 'Hip Drop' in games then the consequences need to be much more severe

    • It so so much bullshit with the suspensions handed out by the NRL. They crack down on hip drops etc, the victim is gone for what ever and the perpetrator gets a slap on the wrist.

  • Pezet and the backrowers such poor defenders!

I was watching pezet tackle one of the panthers players and he was looking down, and literally just slipped off the guy..

I miss Dylan Brown's defensive abilities..

  • We need hard running forwards that bend the defensive line, Question is, where to get them.

  • Need someone like Niukore to come back

    • The knights are after him.

  • I still think we are OK on depth, just.

De Belin and Kelly need to comeback into the 19. And Guymer stays there.

It really should be enough to tie us over. Though I do feel next week's game might be another hard one.

  • Doorey's second acl injury. Wonder if he comes back after this one.
