sadly this site seems to be dying a slow death . so many regulars seem to have vanished . lucky if u find more than 1 new post a day .

I'm working on some fixes for the site as well. The UI for the platform used, Ning, is horrible and hard to change. But I'm working on it!

There seems to be blogs and shite everywhere on the main page. Often I don’t even realise there is a new blog because it’s on the side under some other category.

I reckon things will pick up once the season starts propper mate - whether we tank or win there will be plenty of discussion on here mate.
There's really only three things I miss from the old site;
1. The birthday list on the main page - it was always good to wish punters a good one, and it was a great excuse to post pictures of half naked girls with icing on their titties.
2. A list of who's on line. Always good to know who's in the playhouse. It was always good to know immediately whether Grunta and/or Snake and/or Fongy and/or Big Al Hunt and/or Pats were hanging around as these are my go-to members for bawdy, immature, smutty, filthy (and humorous) chat.
3. I miss my post count on my home page. In reality, the only real reason I ever posted anything was to get my count up :)
But don't fear mate - this place will outlive the lot of us - except for Patsy Stone - he's actually a Highlander.
If it is possible to list who is on line (like on the old site) I don't understand why this wouldn't be a feature of the home page now. I'm assuming it would only be viewable to 1EE members, like on the old site.
There is absolutely no privacy issue with listing who's logged in. It's a useful piece of info for all users. For example, if Pou (or anyone) posts a comment which I reply to and I ask his opinion on something I can gauge whether he is going to reply any time soon based on whether he's actually logged on or not. At the moment it's like flying blind - it's deffinately a step backwards as far as interacting with the site goes - in my opinion.
If someone wants to hang around and not be known that they are actually checking the site out they can just "lurk" and lob in when they see fit.
I personally would very much like the log in list to be reinstated and would be interested in what other members think about this. If it can't physically be done fair enough, but if it's just switched off I would be interested to know why.
And just quickly about the bithday list, I seriously think it was an important part of the site and a great community building tool. The birthday blog, which TBUR started way back in the day, had something like 2000 posts on it and i'm sure there were many who appreciated receiving best wishes from the lads and lasses on their day..
A modernised version of the old layout would have been great, in my opinion, improve what has been working, don't change it if it's not broken.

WTF - Man you sound paranoid. If it is Phil's site, surely he can do what he wants. If you are unsatisfied maybe it's time to leave or is that what you think he wants?
The list of who is online is no longer available. Ning have removed it. Nothing we can really do about it. There's no option for us to switch it on, both Phil and I have tried.
