Russell has been pretty solid
Solid is for bottom 4 teams. Has improved not doubt, but still has very little footy vision, unable to create for those around him, has no speed. Is bog average if that. An honest backup that can do a basic job. Not a regular first grader.

One from Penisini which was pretty rough on him.
Hopgood's errors are not good enough though.
Both are extremely dissapointing.
Hopgood hasn't been close to the same player since the injury in origin last year. His errors aren't even fatigue , he they're everywhere. . Early in games / fresh off the bench and they're happening every week .
Will is the only other player in the side that hasn't improved under Ryles .. he's regressed. Loses the matchup with his opposite every week , bad reads , costly errors . He's easily the worst centre in the league in terms of what he adds to the side and how costly he's been. Russell is useless and going 5x better than Penisini .
Unfortunately these 2 have the knack of either spilling the beans or making simple errors quite regularly lately, very costly. In general their play is good, better bench substitution perhaps?
