Blue Eel I think he knows what to do. His problem is doing that under pressure when so many things are happening around him. How does anyone control the frantic environment in which they are in?
A bit of tounge in cheek Tad. He Definitely knows what to do, for sure, however He must do it all the time no matter what pressure is on or around him. Tonight he was trying to catch it in the hands only so many times, to ball play. Â It's a fatal mistake, and it's letting him down.
I think that is something to address with him BE. How do you put him in the right headspace to eliminate those errors. Something that HOE is on about the Kaizen way. Finding what and how to lift him into a better headspace to have better control in those situations. It can be done if he knows howÂ
If error assists or error involvements were a stat Hopgood would be top of the list. On top of his own errors his pushed passes, and poor options in attack lead to plenty of errors by others. He has to simplify his game and just run hard and offload opportunities will come if he breaks a tackle
Stick with Hopgood in this role until we can or choose to upgrade.
Much like everything JR is trying is coming off for the most part.I see this as another experiment stick with it don't discourage Hopgood into his shell keep playing the way you are.Hopgood has the tools to be a good player I'm sticking with him in this spot and back him to come on as a player going foward.
Been a rough year for the team but we are starting to show signs.
We are very competitive with the players we have now. Have patience with our progress. Shopping for new replacement players can add something which may set us back. Threatenig our roster can be unsettling to a teamÂ
"If Hands, Lane and Matto leave, we will have 4 spots available still. I recon one spot has to be for Api Twiddle. Renzo should get a development deal contract I recon. One spot for a middle forward. Than leave 2 open for players that stand out in…"
"Its pretty simple anyone on the ground for a team should be treated like a player in this circumstance. The kick should of been done again in front of the posts; and the club fined $100000 plus; you make an example of this so any trainers actions…"

So many of his mistakes are just simple technique. Someone, anyone buy him a book The Art of Catching, it's just basics.Â
Hopgood is becoming Hopbad.
Focus on the Ball, Secure the ball with your hands guiding the ball into your body. My under 12's can do it. Â Its just damn frustrating.
Lying in the ruck and not getting up as a marker was also telling by multiple players. That killed us as well.

I would be asking Penref if they want Flopgood back.
See if they would be interested in a swap deal.
Has anyone ever seen Jake Trbojevic and Hobgood in the same room together?
Are they second cousins?
Watching Jake Trbojevic play lock is as painful as my first marriage...
