Nathan Brown has mentioned that BA hasn't really spoken to him. Not sure how to take that but i know what Brown means, tell him what he needs to do to get back to where he wants to be, not sure if BA is putting trust in Brown working it out himself or something has happened along the way.
Apologies is someone has posted this already.

The whispers are that if he doesn't get a upgrade the bulldogs will swoop on him and the roosters a close 2nd.Paul Kent triple M
Lol the Roosters who need to piss off Crichton to save money yet sign Lodge and Brown, but release Suluka-Fifita who was on peanuts but.
But the question is would Parramatta let Brown leave so close to semi's considering our depth? Does BA lean on Greig and Ogden as back-up?
Good luck to him then
Considering BA is renown for persisting with under performers and rarely dropping blokes even when they should be dropped , is it really logical that there's only one side to this story. Love him or hate him , can anyone name a time when BA has played these games simply to push a player out ? I'm on the fence here as I honestly couldn't give two fucks if we push a player out for the good of the team whether reason , not sticking up for either party , but am I the only person who thinks there's waaaay more to this ?
If it's because we are simply stretched cap wise and he's surplus , then questions need to be asked of the people signing the contracts. Which is why I was so vocal about paying people rep player money simply because they want big money.
Well i see it a bit this way Wiz, he says he is free to leave but says also they are not pushing him out then drop him the same week. I think he was told he is being dropped, his agent follows up by asking about the future, they reply he is not needed. But if he is not needed and leads to why he is out of the line-up, why not for Kaufusi or Mahoney or Papali'i? Granted they are playing ok and need them but Brown was playing average but i feel better than Opacic or Maka on the bench.
The reason for it being we have no money in the cap is a bit strange to come out right when being dropped, that doesn't link to a reason to drop a player unless you are pushing them out which is what they are doing we all know that.
Question is do we allow him to leave before the end of 2022?
Wizards “JA for Captain “Sleeve Wiz I have no inside mail on this; but something is awry. Is N Brown paid too much? Didn't he have an injury for part of last season? No love now.....i am miffed and put it down to Parra was peeved about his off field behaviour and maybe this relates to Hayne? Maybe Parra players were told to stay away from Hayne? That footage did not look great for me and showed me he was being a boofhead when he should have left without it all.
No idea and i guess he is on decent coin which can be used to tie up D Brown? All piss and wind from me. but this is my point.
He is a good player and would do well elsewhere but he will not probably get a huge upgrade unless Tigers or Titans...
Wiz, every clubs salary cap is stretched, every year. Every club is paying it's top 10 players "rep" level money, they have to regardless of talent.
Every club has to pay 95% of the cap minimum, it's called the Salary Floor. On a $10m cap, that only leaves 500k in wiggle room. You only have to have one player on anything remotely close to top 10 money to be underperforming for your cap to be under stress, and it happens to every club.
The Roosters & Storm are both going through that stress right now, the Panthers did last year, Adam Reynolds is a Bronco because the Rabbitohs made some poor contract decisions which stripped their ability to retain him.
This is a salary cap measure no question, because Brownie is no longer giving us the value we thought we'd get when we resigned him. No one could have foreseen how quickly his game has regressed given that he is only 28 and he had just played Origin, (yes I am aware of the circumstances surrounding his selection, but he still played).
There is no hidden agenda here.
That all makes perfect sense Brett; however, the very obvious and public snubbing of a player who has bled for the club over the last few years does not if the reasons solely relate to offloading Brown for salary cap relief and to free up funds to re-sign Moses and Dylan Brown.
Surely if it was down to cap relief, BA would have sat down with Nathan Brown, had a heart to heart (considering that Brown is on record as the reason he previously re-signed with the club was due to his great relationship with BA) and told him straight up that he would be given fewer opportunities this season as the club was moving in a different direction.
It appears that conversation has not occurred, or at least not to Nathan Brown's satisfaction.
Now, that doesn't sound very BA to me. Say what you want about his coaching, the players have always said that they appreciate him because 'they know where they stand' with him.
Clearly something has occurred, either internally, or externally and the club are keeping it under wraps in order to maintain Nathan Brown's player value when negotiating with another club.
Whatever that 'something' is can be speculated upon but obviously none of us know for sure.
I don't see how you can call it a snubbing Bourbs, he's been dropped based on form and he's no longer giving us value against salary.
I'll say it again, the decision to allow him to leave is a conversation that has to be had with the GM, that's his job.
You'll note that the article Is referencing the clubs decision to allow him to leave, not BA's decision to drop him. I've no doubt that he and BA have talked about why he's been dropped.
I still don't see any conspiracy.
Yeah, it just not the way I would have gone about it though and from what we know of BA, the whole situation appears to lack transparency.
If Nathan Brown is coming out in the media and insinuating that 'he doesn't know what's going on' - despite public commentary from the club that he is free to seek opportunities elsewhere, there is clearly a disconnect.
Now, whether that's because something has occurred which has soured the relationship between Brown, BA and the club, or whether it's Brown's management trying to put pressure on the club, who knows.
One thing seems obvious to me though is whilst it definately is the primary driver, salary cap relief is not the sole reason for the current disconnect with Nathan Brown.
