Polley can play both lock and backrow at a very high level. I recon he provides more value as a 13 but the position he plays will depend on the options in his team.
Well Koina can play edge if necessary he has played it for Sunshine Coast. So maybe he can be an edge and Polley the future Lock.
Well I have been told that Koina is a better middle than Polley. Koina has great ball playing skills for a middle and goes hard. So next year in SG ball Polley will probably play in the backrow with Koina as the lock. Is a chance Koina goes straight to JF next year and skips SG ball. He will be 19 next year. Both him and Talagi could do that
Thats good
8. Talagi (18)
9. Coinakis (19)
10. Popo (19)
11. Petrus (18)
12. Polley (17)
13. Koina (18)
14. Bell (16)
15. Funa-Luta (19)
16. Nunn (16 or 17)
17. Noa / Nauer (17)
that forward pack is insanely stacked from our pathways
Ea who's better out of Polley or popo?
Ooft ... There is a 2 years difference in age. Polley plays backrow and lock at an elite level. He is like Murray. High work ethic. Not big in size at all. Learn and athletic.
Popo will probably end up as a prop as his ball playing is very minimal. He is short but nuggety. So Cotter size but nuggetty like Tamaoulolo. Atheltic with great footwork and work ethic.
They are a bit hard to compare given their different physique and probably since their position will be different by the time they reach NRL.
It is unfortunate that it seems Coinakis will be squeezed out with Da Silva and Smith as 1 & 2 interchangeably.
Though which of those are the best? Talagi is playing well above his years in Flegg and handling it. I know you like Funa-Iuta but see others as better. Polley sounds to be the pick of the lot in terms of overall talent.
I mean this could be an exciting build of juniors and makes sense signing the likes of de Belin and going for Garner til these kids are ready.
Ideally you want this group to stay together for the next 2-3 years if we can keep the good ones develop and they all go together this is how we build a championship side much like how the Riff dynasty was built.
We just need that transference of the talent now pushing through. The identification part has been done now we just need to see the results of this identification. If we don't get the numbers through we are still broken in the mentioned areas.
EA do we have anything of the calibre of Halasima from the Warriors that cats 19 and is taken the nrl by the short and curlys.
