I do agree that Da Silva if he was to be brought on should have been on 10 before the break then see Smith come back to Hooker with about 15 to go in the game. Ryles is playing with that and i mean that is Ryles he is not afraid to try things and see what works and what doesn't.
RDS will come good. He's learning but has heaps of potential. I don't like it when he does the 'no look' passes. He's definitely very quick and will turn into a great player.

Hope so but at the moment him and Smith on at the sametime is a nono I hope that experiment can be put to bed.
TDS hasn't had enough time to acclimate and Ryley Smith is growing with every game he gets an opportunity.Smiths defensive intensity and workrate alone puts him well ahead of TDS right now. Also if Smith adds that kicking option out of dummy half like he did tonight and buried them in a corner and then leading the chase down the park with it in my estimation puts him well ahead.
Everything you described is making Smith my favourite player.
As you said we can't have both of them on the field at once. Especially with how hard Hess and Tamalolou were running. TDS is defensively not strong enough to have a smaller bloke like Smith on the field with him. Plus we don't have the forwards right now with go forward.

Ryley is slowly becoming my favourite as well. Just so much heart. Chasing the intercept. Cleaning up tackles. TDS needs a pre season so not going to fully judge him till next year.

Yep the continuous kick to Lomax is past its use by date. Need to change it up

Smith is my new favourite. Did anyone notice him and TDS on at the same time, I think Ryley was playing lock

Yeah we saw a glimpse of what the plan might be for Smith/Da Silva combo for the future. Smith took a hit up and was a decent run.
