This game should be very interesting for us Eels supporters and everything points to an Eels win.
But, we are well aware just how poorly this team has performed over recent weeks generally beating ourselves and playing out of form teams back into form.
The eels are desperate for a win and are playing at their new home. It’s a Friday night game and should pull a big crowd. The Rabbitohs are basically a reserve grade team with the poms thrown in and on paper, the eels should win comfortably.

Bunnies 26 vs Eels 12. I find it difficult to be optimistic with this Eels side which consist of players that are here on a semi - retirement holiday and other players who aren't even up to NRL standard plus an inept coach who appears to have no idea what he's doing and a board and CEO who support him Because they obviously don't know what they're doing either.

What happened?
I have always been a bit hesitant of Arthur as a coach even though at times I thought there might be a glimmer of hope. However, after this year's performance and the re-singing of Arthur and the way it's been handled is absolutely disgraceful and mind boggling. I'd really like to be optimistic but in all honesty I just can't see this team improving or being a premiership threat until Arthur is removed and a decent coach with some footy IQ and backbone is put in place. Arthur just doesn't have any idea and it appears the board and CEO doesn't either or they wouldn't have re-instated him for another 2+ years.

Afghanistan to best Australia? They have a couple of handy short form players but that would have to be one the biggest upsets in the history of sport.
I think Souths 13+, not sure who the MOM could be. If Parramatta are to win then they need to be the first to score or maybe the first 2-3 tries. Souths are also a bogey team of Parramatta's. I remember even in the 1990s and 2000s when Souths were awful, they would always give us a good game.
Last time we played Souths, we were up 20-6 with 15 to go and lost 26-20 I think by memory.

We should win this. Souths have no Murray, Walker, Gagai or Cook and Reynolds has been under an injury cloud. They've got Doueihi and Lowe in the centres due to injury and rep selection. If we're going to make the eight we have to turn up and put them to the sword. Nothing soft, nothing easy.
