I wouldn't read too much into this. All we can do is speculate, but as others have said, this could mean many things. If they were referring to Matto, the headlines would be stonger "Contracted Eels star told he's not wanted". Could also be Ado Carr, ie "mate, take a break and come back in January".

  Longfin, good call. Sounds Matto-ish, but who knows? It's not a bad idea to wait to see who’s at the door and why before firing the twelve-gauge. Could be the milk man.
