Corey Norman will be wearing Parramatta Eels colours in 2014 – and will tell the Brisbane Broncos as much sometime within the next few days.
After missing out on Canberra Raiders star Josh Papilii, who signed with Eels before backing out of the deal last week, the Eels went all out for Norman.
They have thrown a massive $450,000 a season at the boom utility back – money the Broncos simply couldn’t match. And don’t think the Papalii saga is over – fuming Eels officials are looking into possible legal action after the back-rower pulled out of his rich deal with the Eels.

It's a good question... The Broncos have him at fullback at the moment so if he stays there, he'll spend all this year learning how to play fullback... then get to Parra and learn how to play in the halves again!! Unless Stuart has earmarked 2014 as the year Hayne moves in to the 6 and is happy to leave Norman at FB depending on how he goes this year
this is BS
Bad bad mistake...
450k??? are they dead set fuked up!
450k will buy us a damaging 2rf that we bloody hell need, his an OK player but not worth 450k, whats wrong with Kelly a young quality half whos on probably 100k?
IMO the eels where that desperate to make a signing of importance that they went all out for whoever was left and lucky for Norman it was him, so Sticky wants our halves to be:
#6 Norman
#7 Sandow
and we lose Kelly & Roberts?
he will be a massive star under sticky on a couple of seasons, we is a 5/8 and he will kill it here at Parra.
Im not sure about this...
He obviously has talent, but like Sandow he's young and hasn't got the consistency.
If its a two year contract it will be a waste because he'll be back in Bris at the end, just when he's matured.
If it's for 4yrs then maybe yes.
What does this say about Parra's existing NRL 5/8's and the up and comers?
noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Here's the original report on Sportal, which is where this latest rumour came from.

What the FUCK!?!
I'm going to trust Ricky Stuart on this, Norman must have talent, but I can't for the life of me see where Norman will play?
Will RS drop Keating, move Kelly/Roberts to hooker, and play Norman at 5/8?
Will RS drop Kelly and play Norman at 5/8?
Will RS drop Kelly, move Hayne to 5/8 and play Norman at fullback?
I have no idea how he's going to use him, to be honest I like our spine at the moment other than Keating (who admittedly played well Saturday) so I don't really want Norman. Even if it's closer to $350K a season, it's too much for a depth player...
