                    • Can't see any long term pain. We have 12 months to find a better 5/8, and we already know that Pezet ultimately want's the halfback spot. So that means 12 months development of our j7nior halves, as well as the possibility of signing a better player from elsewhere. Forget about Brisbane, they are irrelevant to Parra.

                    • That's half the issue though we haven't got a closer in the recruitment department when we go after these guys.Juniors I think is going to have to be the answer as I'm not feeling we have the ability to close on the open market.

                    • Yes that's 💯 % . They are saying Pezet is a big injury risk.  Had a knee reco , then took another 3 months off this year.  With further issues and players who leave Melbourne usually go downhill. They say hes  Brodie Croft mark 2 .

                    • If he turns out as good as Brodie Croft I will be satisfied.

They said something similar about Tommy Deardon before he went to Cowboys

  • When is the deal going to be announced? Anasta has confirmed it's happening and players have been release. So surely during the week?

Even in a press conference, W Penisini said he extended till 2028. This was during his 100th game from memory. When will it be announced? Imagine there are other players yet to be announced than

  • Is there any possibility that Pezet stays at the Eels for longer and rejects the Broncos? Is the Broncos contract a done deal yet?

    • When anasta spoke the other day he said no contracts have been signed yet but I think the chances of a better outcome for the eels is next to none.

    • Cumberland Eel   NO ...and no contracts exist at this point. That said Ryles has indicated he only wants him for 12 months.

    • CE, Can't see it. Pezet wants to play seven long-term. He's not going to wait behind Moses or Hughes for 4 years. Hence, his get-out clause out of the Storm. Club knew it was never long-term for us.
