They can say all they want but in my opinion it's a really dumb idea. Actually stupid idea. I don't see the point in having a player on a 'speed bump' contract! It's not going to benefit Joash Papali or the Eels team as a whole. They get used to playing together with Pezet for a season then he's off to the broncos
100% correct.
If anything, this sets us back another year but as it's been 40 years already, I guess another year won't hurt.

The thing about all these journalists talking up the deal is you know damn well they would all be ripping the eels a new one if pezet was managed by any other manager then Anasta. Imagine the outrage if he was managed by Isaac moses.

Let's leave it to Ryles on how he uses him and be positive. Ryles is doing a fine job of turning over the roster. It takes time.
I don't have an issue with pezet, he did what was best for him and got a great result. My issue is with ryles for being sucked into the deal and mon and the club for allowing it.
I never going to get over this deal, it's such a ridiculously bad one for the eels that could haunt the club for years.
Let's see how ok with the deal everyone is going to be at the end of next season, you can guarantee the club will be torn to threads in the media once pezet departs for the broncos and the eels are still without a 6 for 2027.

I felt something was going on there, a player doesn't usually get left out of all grades. It was obvious Footy Dean was on the outer back in July- August

If pezet plays 7 in Reggie's and only plays first grade when one of the halves is out i would be OK with this deal but I highly doubt that is what is going to happen.
