Parramatta have emerged as the frontrunners to land Bradman Best, with multiple sources indicating the Newcastle centre is increasingly likely to join the Eels beyond 2027.
Best has been identified as a priority target for Parramatta, who are looking to bolster Jason Ryles' backline with an established representative star.
While a deal is yet to be confirmed, the Eels are understood to be in the box seat despite Newcastle's efforts to retain him with a lucrative extension.

It's a huge ask to commute from Shellharbour to Kellyville mate. I did Wollongong to Eastern Creek for 10 years and yeah it was doable , but if I had the choice to earn the same money , doing the same job and not have to drive it , I can assure you I'm not doing it. Maybe if we were winning comps he'd have a reason, but we aren't , we ain't even playing finals.
Taking my bias away, I see zero reason other then maybe his old man pushing him towards Ryles for whatever reason ,as to why he'd come to Parra. His old man's tight with a bunch of Illawarra guys that are also coaching around the NRL.
The thought of driving from Shellharbour to Kellyville and back just once gives me the ick, neverlone 5 or 6 days a week. Car sharing with the boss everyday would probably be a deterrent to be fair. I'd rather do it alone and listen to a podcast . I feel this was a downside and one of the reasons for leavening with Lomax.
Yeah, Bostock will not choose Parra over Saints IMO; the travel is an issue and tbh Ryles would also be doing it tough some days.
Bostock could have a beahc view at Gerringgong etc and i imagine still be an hour or less to Wollongong. I know where I would be.
Yeh, all fair. I'd be the same. Only reason to come here would be $$$ or Ryles doing the equivalent of selling him the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in terms of vision.
