I just don't have faith that we can recruit a quality half like Sandon Smith with our record of attracting players so it's either Joash or another young player yet to debut. Maybe Pezet from Melbourne now that the storm have moved to wrap up Jahrome Hughes. Even if a loan deal with Pezet it gives Joash and younger halves a year to prove themselves in reserve grade or if Pezet goes well, maybe get him to ask for a release.

It is the peak of the dumbest thing ever. Had he ran into a player he gets nothing. Now if a player pushes the ref due to a decision or there is intent of course ban them, but an accidental push over where his focus and the refs focus in on the ball and these things can happen, it is the biggest dick swinging rule there is. We are the refs you cannot touch us, even accidentally.
I believe there are numerous times we have gotten in the way with the ref before. I have, Oz Tag the other night i did, focused on the play and ref popped up in front of me, i lightly shoved him as i braced myself bumping into him, apologised he replied all good and moved on.

I am curious what direction Ryles goes. He could go Hawkins, Walker, Volkman or Papali'i at 6. If i had to pick, i reckon he goes Papali'i just to see what he has, would not surprise me if he goes Hawkins though.
