Dogs now heavy favourites for Galvin.

Seems like the bulldogs are going to sign Galvin and stash him in their system, unsure why they are doing it with all the halves they have at their disposal but is what it is. Next target for the eels should be Sandon Smith should cost far less and not as much baggage.

  • If Galvin decides to go to the Dogs, good for him and them, the Eels will move on.

As previously stated by others in this blog, there are other options who would be cheaper (possibly better), leaving the Eels with more money to buy some other players as well.

"If they classify as a transfer fee, it doesn't go on cap. It goes on soft cap which is the footy dept  which is about 5m. We are not spending anywhere near that on footy dept"

"I believe that 165k would be paying for part contract for 2026. It's a bargain to get a quality player. So it's not a transfer fee and would definitely be on the cap."
