Dogs now heavy favourites for Galvin.

Seems like the bulldogs are going to sign Galvin and stash him in their system, unsure why they are doing it with all the halves they have at their disposal but is what it is. Next target for the eels should be Sandon Smith should cost far less and not as much baggage.

  • The only reason I can see him going to the Dogs would be Gus convincing him and his family it's the right option. But I just don't see where he fits right now at the Dogs and things would have to be moved around to accommodate him. That could unsettle the playing group when it's being done for a 19yr old that still hasn't had his balls drop yet.

But for me, the agitation by Galvin to get out of Concorde pretty much coincided with Dylbags signing with Newcastle. Tigers knew that Eels would be a perfect landing spot for him so brought it to a head with that contract offer. We need a 6 going forward, he gets to play alongside Moses, and he barracked for the club growing up. Ryles has made no secret he wants him at the club too.

Media is just beating this up for clicks. I'll be surprised if he isn't at Parra.

  • They rate Mitchell woods and have sexton and burton in halves this year he ain't going there to warm a bench.. The dogs would eventually get bored of him like a new toy his best option leads to the Eels and financially better.

  • Are the Bulldogs another Roosters No Cap , also if Galvin goes to the dogs that means he was never a true Parramatta supporter, once a parra supporter we never ever change.

  • In my opinion, the Dogs "leading" as favourites is all to create more drama and more stories when Galvin eventually signs with Parramatta. The eels in the headlines sells papers, nothing better than "Parramatta running dead last sign tigers dropped star" "Moses manager lies" "Galvin Lies" it will be in the paper for weeks and continue to sell if parra performs poorly or they turn their season around. The media this season has really been poor in their stories around the game. Especially around origin this year, absolutely nothing but fluff with the old Spencer Vs JT story they have already run before. They are a joke.

    • It's kind of weird the most impactful players we have signed are the ones that go under the radar. Jack Williams Ado Dylan Walker.

  • I'm pretty much over all the speculation. If he comes to Parra on a reasonale deal, great.

If he goes anywhere else, inevitably, he'll be a roadblock to some other up and coming talent, which opens up options.

The noise from the dogs is just about creating a sense of competition. If they didn't, by all reports he'd walk straight into Parra without any fanfare. Gus is playing with everyone to ensure Parra don't get too good of a deal.

I really hope that Parra don't get caught up in the hype. Galvin is not going to make or break this club.

    • So your saying we have no talent coming through only a hindrence for another clubs jnr.

      • Not sure how you got that from what I said?

If Galvin goes to the bulldogs, then he'll be in the way of another bulldogs players pathway to first grade. That player then starts to look for opportunities elsewhere, providing Parra with options that aren't necessarily available right now.

  • If true we should go hard for Sandon Smith and Dogs young half i cant think of he name i thinks its woods Dog got big raps on him and we need 1 centre 3 forwards

    • Arnie, did you not go to Newcastle last week ......how hard can you get?

Maybe you should soften a little and wait to for the "orf seezun".
