Summary:
Newcastle Knights veteran Dane Gagai may be forced to leave the club at season's end, with reports suggesting the club will not take up his $400,000 team option for 2026. The Knights reportedly believe Gagai, 34, is no longer worth that salary, despite it being about half the going rate for top NRL centres. The decision is seen as puzzling, especially given Gagai’s strong recent form — including a standout performance in the Knights' win over Manly — and the injury history of their marquee centre Bradman Best.

Or we can hang off a bit and snag Selwyn Cobbo who can play centre and seems to be floundering in the Broncos system
Cobbo wants a million. There were rumors on Jesse Arthurs. His a lot bigger than what I thought he was. Around Lomax side. Idk if his as good as athlete as zac.
Either of those would be ok for right price though Cobbo wanting a million is ridiculous He's not that good and his issues with coaches is not great almost childish Still either of them would be better than Gagai
Well if old man Gutherson can land almost a million at Saints , Cobbo ain't silly asking for it. But he ain't getting that kinda Fullback money at Parramatta .
Hopefully Flufferson handed back this weeks salary looking at the score . Must've been reading his own hype articles again. Anyone see the game ?
No thanks
no thanks, his past his best, a defensive liability and offers nothing in attack.
No way in hell to old
Fuck no!
I am by no means a fan of Sean Russell but I would rather him over Gagai.
If we can land Staggs or Cobbo, we may as well stick with what we've got.
