So we have a few options bubbling under the surface for our issue at 58, but none are 100% locked in. Volkman had a great end to the year and is building nicely, I still think he could be the answer, but to be fair, probably not the player we could confidently say will build a Premiership on. Then we have the young blood Lorenzo Talantaina, who by all means could be great, but unproven in first grade and has some development to go till he fills out.
I was listening to Kenty's podcast last night while hitting a few balls in my sim and they were saying Munster is being lowballed by Storm, Perth are going hard for Burton, Chief's will go for Walker now Cleary signed, and Titans are going massive for Harry... so Munster is struggling to find that next club or he's going to have to take a significant shave to stay at Storm at $700k a season. Admittedly he didn't have a good season last year defensively and he's getting a bit older, but I do wonder if he could partner Mitch in the halves for their last couple of seasons and provide some stability as we transition to some of our young guns?
Hypothetically if we get him for $800-850k a season as the cap moves up, it's really good value for a marquee player that is still one of the best halves on his day and the current Australian Captain. I would be having a sniff for sure and seeing if he's up for a move to Sydney.

I recon Risati is the smokey too. Has DB physique.
If he leaves Melbourne, it will only be back to QLD. I think a lot hinges on who the next Storm coach is, and a lot of contracts there are being held up because of that unknown. They threw the bank at Slater, but I think he's happy with his current gigs. I don't think Harry Grant leaves, despite the journo's hyping it up in the media.
Seem everyone is raiding the Storm's juniors. Saw another going to the Raiders today. What's up with that?
An options a filthy word. It's how we lost DB and we've used about 6 options player wise trying to find out whose our 6 going foward.I mean sure he's an option a slim faint option of him actually arriving here but an option all the same.
The people have spoken
Munster is gone. We won't and shouldn't sign him.
After Luai, it's between Volk and Talataina, and I believe Talataina is more suited.
Do not count out Blaize. We have interest. Whether people think he is suited or not, there is interest.
I like Munster but have never thought he and Moses combine well for Aus.
Who cares about Munster tell me about your golf sim!
The one thing we will not want to do come 2030 is not only replacing Moses but replacing Munster too. We would want an experienced and established 6 when Moses moves on. Whether that's Volkman, Talataina, Talagi or whoever, our 2028 6 will be envisioned as our 5-10 5/8.
