Parramatta chief executive Paul Osborne believes Quade Cooper will stay in rugby union as he has not heard from the Wallabies star for a number of weeks.
Before the Wallabies' trip to South Africa, Cooper had been heavily linked with the Eels and is still yet to make a decision about which code he will play.
Parramatta reportedly tabled an offer of around $1.5 million for Cooper to switch over and become the club's key playmaker next season and forego leading Australia's hopes in the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
Osbornesaid the same money was still there to bring Cooper to Parramatta, despite the club announcing the signing of former representativeforwards Reni Maitua and Carl Webb during the week.
However Osborne isn't confident about the signing and said he was never holding his breath.
"I think he'll stay in rugby I haven't heard from him for a few weeks," Osborne told AAP.
"I always thought he'd stay in rugby."
