Chris Smith on Haas and Carrigan

Chris Smith reported today that Haas is in talks with the Bulldogs, I mean come on! He also states Carrigan wants out and wants to move to a Sydney Club. His newsreader girlfriend is happy to move to Sydney. Interesting times for the Broncos if this is true!

      • No offence pops, but I don't really care any more how we win our next premiership. Every team that brings in a player from another team has bought that player. We are never having a team full of eels juniors only. We have to buy the right players to compliment our juniors. Do you think the roosters, storm, dogs fans care if they bought a premiership. There's no asterisk beside the year that says "bought".

With a salary cap now and the NRL a business, every team buys players from someone else. 30-40 years ago when players weren't paid much, yeah clubs were accused of this, manly being a big one, but not the stigma it used to have. I just want to finally shut up all the knockers of the club with the "never win again"

      • cmon poppa ffs we have not won a comp in 40 years who gives a fuck how we get one....we tried that approach when we where the Parra bulldogs when the emperor of parra Dennis paid 9 mill to get them over......even then we failed......

we gotta try something ....cause at the moment 50 years is on the cards

If Haas does go to the Bulldogs the game is beyond fucked

    • Don't be naive Eli, they will sell a couple to accomodate what they need. Max King is loved by Gus, so was Reed and god knows who else all of a sudden can go as well. Paas in real terms is worth 1.5m. I am sure he will get a rent free home in Sydney, free flights to visit his mother and an option to buy the home he is living in Sydney after 3/5 years of service. Options to buy property is another example of what clubs can offer players that would be difficult to identify, ask Frankie Fong how easy it would be to structure an option to purchase a property, capitalise the rent on the cap with the purchase price adjusted back off the option premium, piece of piss for the right lawyer and obliging seller. The way property prices are now and your looking at a property of 4/5 million dollars, you can bury a million in any property and justify the sale price.

      • Could definitely happen but I wouldn't want to get into a bidding war with the roosters 😂

  • Haas has been linked to the roosters for a long time, same agent as sbw and they'll have money opening up. Go figure 😂

    • Then Haas probably going to rugby then just like SBW did

  • They've been after a front rower for years.

Gus has gone on record as saying he'd never pay 7 figures for a Prop 😂

Guess what Gus that's where it starts for Haas.

I can see the change of heart now argh but he's a one in a million player 😂

    • And if Gus told you it was raining, you'd stick your head out the window to check. The guy is full of shit, can't believe anything he says if it means getting a player that will win you a comp.

    • Gus went on Record said he not interested in Gavlin to

  • I heard Gus was has been saying HAAS is the best forward he had ever seen and teams will be winning premierships having him in the side yell
