      • Buzz hasn't gotten things wrong as of late. Won't be shocked if we do get him.

        • It does make sense as a swap, if Melbourne wants Lomax that badly then probably happens.

      • Keeley was signed before Katoa's injury, he was not signed as a reaction. Also, I reckon he is Blore's replacement since he wants to come back to Sydney.

    • LB, we don't need an edge, we need a centre/winger....if he comes, he will come as a back.....what he evolves into is anyones guess.

      • We don't necassarily but if Liam Martin comes to you and says i want to play here are you going to say no as you are not a back? I am not saying Howarth will be Martin level but talent nonetheless, high upside. We signed Kelly for a reason, if we get Howarth he will start at Centre but then perhaps move him onto an edge. Williams i know played well on an edge but also plays well in middle too if we need to put him there or have Howarth compete with Kautoga.

Never a mistake to add talent and competition to spots. Many are saying why are we not signing players but when one comes up "Oh he can't play there, or there or there" like we have superstars in every spot.

  • Howarth can actually defend. Its a done deal

  • Things are not all rosy in Melbourne these days. Whispers of a younger player revolt because of Bellamy's intensity. Paps got burnt out playing there and needed a break from the game entirely. Still professional down there just maybe not such a happy place to be.

    • Bellamy more likely his last year, he is feeling it as he wants to try and go out with a high. You can see this year is the first year he looked and the players looked stressed. He's going all out for one last go.

  • Howarth is a big body with some injuries, he will end up in the backrow soon enough.

    • gee, we love to talk ou book....LB  you say "he is feeling it as he wants to try and go out on a high" I love when we read minds, especially someone like Bellamey.....rest assured he will want to go out on a high! anything less is not in his "breeding".

Eli comes up for all the positive reasons, has to be Parra's ultimate optimist (good onya mate) but shit you are blind to ruthless thinking.

The reality is we are not going to second guess guys that are much smarter than us.....we should take Howarth if its true, for no other reason than we cannot afford not to....Lomax is not coming back, we need to make the best of an initial and horrible decision to let him go in the first place. All that notwithstanding he may have mental issues.

For those that think Lomax is not much good anyway etc etc....just stop and think who is wanting to get him!
