From Danny Wiedler Matt Burtons manager David Riolo asked the Bulldogs for permission to negotiate before Nov 1.  This was granted.

Riolo is trying to get ahead of the pack as there are numerous centres hitting the market come Nov 1.

The figure that has been offered to Matt Burton is as a centre and around the $700K mark.

Are we in the market?  Should we go for Birton as a centre or should we get him as a 5/8?

Thoughts?

    • I wonder how Galvin feels about all that if it ends up taking place? Not the halfback that Gus hoped and dreamed of. Galvin was the one signing in the past few seasons that made absolute sense and should have happened. The rest of the players we've supposedly had interest in I wasn't overly fussed on but when it came to Galvin we were made for each other.
