Bradman best almost certain to resign after World Cup

Fmd.Barry Toohey reporting Bradman best is closer to inking an extension with the club after the World Cup.

Where to now,It's really Annyoing now that we still even have hope.Every big signing we miss out on.Its always onto this guy now.Keon, barnet,Galvin,Bradman best and more.We suck and will never land a big fish.So no point in saying let's target this guy now.Just gonna be let down again.

    • Toohey is a well respected journo and gets more right than wrong. But doesn't mean he can't get told wrong info though.

      • He'd be optimistic they'd keep him but only best knows what he's going to do. Knights don't really have much money to play with

        • Toohey has a very good record and is careful what he posts. There has been chatter he is using us to get a better price. Could he be wrong? Of course. Is he wrong? Unlikely. That is where i am at right now.

  • Meh theres better out there anyway

  • Spencer was a done deal months ago , with Best it's a bit hard to negotiate when we don't have a CEO .

If Rush was already at the helm and was negotiating with Best and we missed out then id be concerned, but Best has most likely been talking to MON and Rogers and nothing good ever comes from talking with dopes .

    • Ha agreed about MON Fongy.

In all seriousness they could keep best as they have a couple leaving; and no doubt POS would be front and centre.

      • Yup, Holbrook found some Diamond's in the rough this year who'd be on modest contracts for the next couple of seasons.  It'll be towards the end of next season and into 2028, he has a few wanting upgrades if they continue on their path. The next two seasons they're mostly all accounted for.

If the halves that finished this season keep improving , I'm sure they will be wishing they could have a mulligan on a particular signing when the time comes .

        • Yes - halves may cause the issue in a year or two depending on their contract.
Theor pack is not a large name pack

and tbh Lucas came on early this year - Frizell? They have guys who have played little footy but played well. Can they do it again next year? Time will tell but they're not on millions.
Issue for them is Halves and Fletcher, with Pongia, Brown, Best and winger.

  • People talking as if we were ever really a chance of signing this guy 😂😂.

  • Fletcher Hunt is who i would be chasing, very good player.
