Brad Arthur press conference

Another embarassing defeat.

I thought Brad Arthur's comments in the after match press conference revealed a lot about what is going on at the Eels.
Firstly he was clearly frustrated and there were indications that he was "Out of answers"

The following comment was particularly telling. Arthur was talking about the players making "soft choices,"
to which he then added "The players have to fix it. We can only talk about it so many times.
The players have to fix it don't they."

The comment clearly suggests that Arthur was not just referring to the players attitude in this particular match, it indicates
that he has noticed this "attitude" over a significant period of time.

The comment also indicates that he has spoken to the players about this a number of times. The frustation in Arthur's  voice indicates that whatever way he has attempted
to address this has not worked. It has not made a consistent impact among the greater part of the playing group. This seems to indicate that there are
some players who aren't happy with the way Arthur has gone about this.

The sub text of what Arthur is saying is that there are a number of disgruntled players among the playing group.
A few disgruntled players can affect the whole team dynamic as everyone knows.

The best "man manager" coaches know how to address this.

It would seem, based on these comments that Arthur cannot be placed in that
category.

      • The hashtag Darwin thing was laughable. Trying to detract us from hashtag sack Arthur.

        • We are the NT governments bitches .  Whoring ourselves to them for a paycheque.

          • Again, this club does not care about winning so they will continue to send them there for the money they are receiving.

      • They are the type of WOKE blokes who will only call out that single white guy when the cops storm a drug house.

Forget the fact the other 8 were ethnic. Freaking cucks.

    • That entire site relies on access to the coach and the players.

They will just take it up the tail pipe every day before they say a single negative word about the coach. They know if they criticise him, BA will kill off their access the vindictive prick. They look stupid but they aren't.

      • But saying the players are hurt and that is why they didn't perform to BA simply saying the were rubbish made them look like idiots. I agree Frank, they are playing a brave face for access but it made them look stupid.

  • Am I the only person worried that BA will not be sacked? Every time I am hopeful it never happens. So until I see it I am just assuming BA is staying at the club :(

    • Well honestly a win v Manly saves him as Moses is back around the corner  and will get some wins.

      • We won't beat Manly

    • If he's not , it's because the people above him are too inept to be able to land another decent coach.

"We simply can't continue with BA , if you can't get Bennett or another high profile coach like Bellamy then you give one of the up and coming coaches a go. Obviously taking on a rookie coach would be a risk but no bigger than giving BA another year."
