Can't remember a test debut like this, the series locked up at 1 all - taking the attack right up to Bumrah, exciting, confused and totally unexpected!

What a sensational test match. Even better result.
Even with Bumrah on their side we had a Skipper in Pat Cummings showing us how to win. Well done Pat!
India were very confident of a win here in Melbourne and were initially strutting, like a 'Dream 11' does, but when confronted with a likely loss they couldn't accept the umpires decision and debated.
And the bonus is watching the biggest drama queen ever to play test cricket, becoming a bunny for our quicks. The end is nigh for Virat
We win the toss and bat Richard, 400 hundred should be a match winning start for Sydney. If we are all out first day for less than 250 then we are in trouble.
Alternatively India win the toss and bat and the situation reverses.
The toss and batting in Sydney means more than any other venue in this era.
Yes, Ponting stated that he has never seen so much grass on a SCG wicket.
I am taking 1/2 point out of 2 for my prediction, i.e. The alternative happened LOL
In saying that I think India batted poorly and a score of 250/300 would have been a reasonable return. The wicket was better than 180.
Look out for our boy Kontas, Richard, he needs to shut his mouth now and get rid of the get out shots. I commented along those lines in another post.
He is too brash at this point and some humility will make him much more likeable for when he fails and the media and fair wether flyer's come into play.
Starc is not looking good. Spraying balls, pace seems down. Only picked up 1 wicket in the previous Test having suffered a side strain. He was bowling well within himself. I don't think he was 100% for this Test so soon after the previous. Missed chance blooding Richardson, Connelly, Morris or O'Neill. Wicket looks likes a batsman's paradise.
P.S LOL...Starc makes the breakthrough..ordinary ball, poor shot but still brought home the bickies!

You could also drop Marsh and put McSweeney or Davies in. We don't seem to need an all-rounder at the moment.
Absolutely brilliant test match. Fantastic effort from both sides!
So enjoyable to watch
all five days of it !!!
Wonderful test match proper cricket.
I was listening to the last hour of it on the drive to the Basketball tonight such a great performance and series

It may be the orf season but we can still be entertained by the final test of this Gavaskar-Border series at the SCG tomorrow.
Marsh is out, beau Webster makes his debut and I'm told his record as an all-rounder in Shield is imposing.
Looks like M. Starc will soldier on even with an injury to ribs or back.
I trust him to make the right call for the team, whatever it is, especially after hazelwood broke down mid-test.
The curator has had perfect weather to prepare the pitch and no rain on the horizen till monday afternoon.
Go Aussie

5th Test on the way.
