If a player wants to remain with his current club, using offers from other clubs to increase the amount his current club needs to pay won't work any more if the NRL are going to be consistent. The Hudson Young (Raiders/ PNG) situation makes things interesting. If Best goes to November 1st and the Eels, (or any club) table a $1,000,000 per season deal for Best, the Knights would have to match that amount. This could price him out of the Knights and he could be forced to move.

A player agent isn't going to risk telling anyone anything until it's set in stone. Knights have gone 900k with no more budge room. No point a player agent doing that when Knights are at max bid.

Good to know about Blaize. I think he should be the one. We need fullback cover and a bit of an x-ish factor outwide in the backs. Blaize can play center most times, inside of Samrani or Addo-Carr if he stays.
