Good point Mutts as I ideally didn't want Barnett for 3 years and not keen after an ACL, it's yet another player we publicly went for and gave possibily the best bid and get nothing.

Apparently we only offered 2 years, not 3. Looks like the Broncos deal is 2 years with an option for a third year, although I'm not sure which way.
The offers look very similar, so it's a no brainer that he went to the Broncos with where their team is at.
Especially with Brisbane being so close to Taree as well.

Brisbane is a better place to live than Sydney in my opinion. Maybe Barnett and other possible signings thought the same way
