  • He won't. He is not going to get the coin he is on with us anywhere else.

  • Gutho nearing end of his career, but no way he leaves the club lol. Playing group will stick solid

  • I don't think Gutho will go anywhere at all. He is being paid well, is Captain, is getting towards the latter end of his career, has busted his arse for the Club.  His form dropped recently but we know that was the result of carrying injury. Plenty of Clubs with string fullbacks out there. Can't see another Club wanting to sign him for what we are paying him in the circumstances, even if he did want to leave.

  • Kinda how people expected Hindy to leave after Smith left he should of he was good enough to grab a deal at a team that could of won.

Gutho is in his 30s still good but not elite and won't demand the same coin

  • I doubt any club would offer him a long term deal also he doesn't have a Brad Arthur clause

  • Gutho will be lucky to play next year, he is pretty busted. I can see an early retirement

  • BA rightly praised Gutho.

He has been close to, if not the only, player who has put in 200% effort every single game. He has played through everything and has never ever given up.

The praise is deserved. It doesn't mean Gutho will go elsewhere, Gutho gave his all because he's a competitor. Like everyone who gets a new boss, it's a nerve-wracking time, but that's the situation for every new incoming coach and they know how to deal with it.

    • You are right Captain, he's been inspirational!

  • See you Gutho.....

MA too no doubt - couldn't give a toss ...

    • You should give a toss about MA. A gun hooker coming through and there are not any good ones on the market.

"Yep, Chiefy, true. I reckon 2025-26 is around a $5-6m cap hit because of the rebuild-clean up.
PS: I was going to add details of that but my blogs are already torturously long enough."
