Garner was probably offered 3 years by Saints and we only offer two that one i am ok with funnily enough. But still a miss nonethless.

Plus Ryles must like something about him to be interested in some way wouldn't you say Graham? He knows better which I am not being smart about I agree he knows better. If he feels Da Silva is good enough to be interested in then must be a decent player.

Why isn't this club looking to upgrade its front office and football department staff aswell as its players has always been the question I've asked for years now.How accountable are the CEO GM of football R and R members are they held to the same accountability as the HC?
Some of these people have been in positions of power for more than 5 years but here we are why are they not held to account for lack of results.They are all pieces in the puzzle but here we are another missed opportunity to add a player and they've come up short and in a rebuilding phase with $$$$$ to burn yet can't get the job done.When does the mentioned accountability kick in or is it just business as usual and move onto the next failure.
I also ask is JR not a pull either as he's clearly spoken to players that we've tried to attract and retain I mean if Bennett were here does he get these deals over the line conjecture yes but like Gus I bet he does.
Only thing I will say is yes Bennett would get players despite the board but that is due to a proven record. Ryles of course doesn't have that so you can like Ryles but not enough runs on the board.
So do you think Parra should offer more then what they think the player is worth, Garner probably top 30 certainly not starting 13. Personally I think Debelin the better pick up. Da Silver was very ordinary last night and certainly behind Smith.
As much as some fans want Parramatta to chase a few big name players I don't think Ryles wants to right now or for the whole of this season.
I think Ryles and his coaching staff are going to back themselves and Parras juniors. Upgrade contracts with the juniors they see as future FG players and start blooding them.
I doubt Ryles has set goals of making the 8 this year or even 2026. I think his goals are to turn Parramatta into a winning force and a team that will put themselves into competing with the best teams.
Yes I think he will go hard after 2/3 players, a big time prop, edge forward and a centre. I wouldn't be surprised if Ryles goes after Payne Hass or the like.
I think Ryles likes to talk to potential recruits to gauge just how much they want to be at Parra and that they fit into the product he is building.
The only player Ryles went hard for was Galvin, and he went oh so close. Beaten by Gus and More so Galvin's junior coach.
So I don't think we're missing out on players we're just not willing to pay overs or longer duration. This is what we want.
