Why isn't this club looking to upgrade its front office and football department staff aswell as its players has always been the question I've asked for years now.How accountable are the CEO GM of football R and R members are they held to the same accountability as the HC?
Some of these people have been in positions of power for more than 5 years but here we are why are they not held to account for lack of results.They are all pieces in the puzzle but here we are another missed opportunity to add a player and they've come up short and in a rebuilding phase with $$$$$ to burn yet can't get the job done.When does the mentioned accountability kick in or is it just business as usual and move onto the next failure.
I also ask is JR not a pull either as he's clearly spoken to players that we've tried to attract and retain I mean if Bennett were here does he get these deals over the line conjecture yes but like Gus I bet he does.
Only thing I will say is yes Bennett would get players despite the board but that is due to a proven record. Ryles of course doesn't have that so you can like Ryles but not enough runs on the board.

Their middles are ageing. They are heading for a rebuild as the Trbojevic brothers and DCE move on and have money. Difference is they will buy most of the players they want.

650k a year for a backup hooker who cant tackle. With purchases like these manly are heading for the bottom of the table. What ridiculous money for an untired player. We need a hooker that can transition to lock. That would be ideal.

I honestly don't think we were trying to sign him @ 650k. I meant that at this stage of his career his a backup. He has not proven himself to be a start. He may never be a starter. Loads of good young hooker with potential. On top of that you can convert fb and halves to play hooker. JR likes playersthat are multi skilled.
You really think we would sign him to be a back-up Darren? We weren't signing him with the intent of being a back-up. If we were happy with Smith moving forward we weren't signing him.
We need a Hooker that can play eyes up it seems according to Ryles.
