Pretend you are in charge of a NRL club:
The club is at an all time low in 2014.
You cant sign any decent players.
But suddenly you had an opportunity to sign an experienced rep player but the $ had to be good.
Said $ would cause cap issues.
By signing said player, other players of even higher caliber were willing to sign.
You believed within 2 yrs you could have a roster go from 1 rep player to 4 rep players
You believed within 2 years the club would became competitive.
Now the question is;
What would you do?
Would you say no to signing the player?
Or would you take a risk on the cap and possible fine for a bigger picture approach?

Disclaimer: The above comment is my opinion only and no way indictates that some clubs are knowingly cheating the cap ;).
My thoughts exactly Frank.
Even if you get rubbed out this year, next year youve got your team and ready to rumble. Otherwise youd still be plodding along.
Defiantly worth the risk.
You dont think Storm gained more than they lost. Sure, on paper they had the grand finals taken off them but ask the players and they'll tell you they won.
You take the risk for sure, and thats what we did, us being over the cap in those years was never a fluke, but we just thought we would only cop a fine, and that calculation was correct until all this latest shit came up.
Heaps of clubs come in over the cap on purpose and calculate it so they will only have to pay a fine, thats what we did.
We just didnt allow for unforeseen circumstances lol
Note: This is just a hypothetical comment from Snake and the 'we and 'us' he speaks of are fictitious characters in a made up game.
