Soooo we have to pay him for 12 weeks to sit in the stands due to his own actions. Sack him . It's not even a debate. The clubs not a charity, and there's only two reasons those in favour of giving him yet another chance want to do so. And ones becuse he's not a shit player.

There are some outlets saying Parra have a duty of care. If released, I believe a club would take him on once 12 week ban is done. But also he is 32 this year and off-contract. So tough call for the club. But I said before it might be taken out of their hands.
Though I thought the ban can be cut by a few weeks if he admits fault and seeks assistance, which he did.
pretty sure a suspension over 6 weeks means the club can withold salaries as part of the rlpa agreement wiz

Nope, I do not think it is true that the club can withhold salary. Clubs cannot unilaterally stop contractual payments. The case of interest here is Radley's 10 game ban where the Chooks lowered the financial penalty by not paying Radley "match payments". Turns out that meant, not his base pay, but his match fee. His match fee x10 was less than the proposed straight fine, while the Chooks then sought dispensdation from the NRL to use that non-paid money to hirer another player. IOt was all a rort by the Roosters, of course, to lower radley's financial penalty and try to get salary cap exemption.
Also, Radley agreed to the penalty. The NRL collective bargaining agreement does permit a club to deduct a small fraction of match payment from a player if the suspension is greater than 8 weeks. This is what the Chooks were exploiting.
"I'm not sure by nrl rules we can just get him to scrap his pay mate. It'd be a cap breach I'd suspect . It'd need to be approved . We either pay him in full or leave it in the NRLs hands. And we don't have a great track record with asking the NRL…"
"lol this isn't a hypothetical contract where you can just make adjustments. Unless he agrees to us scrapping his contract and doing a new one , which also has to get NRL approval, he's on full pay .
We all know you have a soft spot for your choccy…"
"Yeah, it's a bullshit remark. Most players are complete professionals . My experience being out and about over the years , and knowing quite a few players directly or indirectly through others , tells me less than 25% would be endulgung in the…"
"Yeah , if it were a shit player , he'd be gone already. It's hypocritical to not sack him considering it's second offence.
If he wasn't driving I could understand it, but to get done driving again, it shows he has little respect for the club and…"

Unfortunately some things in life are non negotiable. He needs to be sacked.
stick by him. don't chuck him to the wolves.
Well he chucked himself to the wolves mate. He has a highly paid manager to look after his wellbeing.
I'd keep him for cup or backup. Sign a new winger.
Our backline is flimsy as it is. He has one year left, let him stay IMO. Treat it like an injury and he'll go PNG or Super League by end of the year.
