what are people thoughts on Matt Doorey as lock.

  Honestly BE i like him as a player . But my humble opinion is he is better suited coming off the bench in the middle

  Doorey at lock was very good at nsw cup. Got a very deceptive short ball at the line

  Not a fan at lock, he runs a good line and makes a good mobile prop, but I've never seen him play lock, so who knows?

  yeah thanks guys, I was surprised, i just don't see him ball playing like a walker, Hopgood, DeBellin, etc. That surprised me. Mind you none are as good as Walker at it, from lock.

    He will surpise you with his ball playing with other forwards. As I just said a quick short ball at the line while looking to play out the back. He did it very well a few times in NSW Cup last yer,

        Thats very fair. Also have to keep in mind the performances I saw were also in NSW Cup so against weaker opponents. So wouldn't surprise me if he struggled at NRL level playing lock for the reasons you just stated.

  I'm not a fan of Doorey he is limited and doesn't offer much imo at nrl level.Cup he's fine but outside of that he's a spot player.Use sparingly and he's just a depth player for me.Playing 13 is a ball runner and that's about it from what I can see.
