Parramatta Eels hooker Reed Mahoney has been charged by the NRL Match Review committee following the Club’s Round 14 victory over the North Queensland Cowboys at Darwin’s TIO Stadium on Saturday 9 June.
Mahoney was charged with a Grade One Dangerous Throw on Cowboy’s Justin O’Neill in the 38th minute of the clash.
Mahoney’s charge has a base penalty of 100 points.
An early guilty plea will see Mahoney not miss any weeks of the competition.
Eels forward Siosaia Vave was placed on report during the clash but was not charged by the NRL Match Review committee.

Maybe he was charged for embarrassing the big cows men with his great solid and driving tackles...in all honesty and not just with my BnG eye in...how does this rate as a chargeable attempt. Maybe I need to see the replay but thought he just drove it so hard that his legs flew and no intent at all.
poor kid doing what he has probably worked so hard at being a little guy in a giants world...and this comes of it.
Lol
well done Mahoney- did BnG proud
Bad poppa
He plays too rough. We should drop him.
I think it was the player who came in over the top that made the tackle look worse than it actually was and in my opinion Mahoney’s Tackle looked legit! It’s just the referees inconsistency that’s the real issue.
