Kaysa what too do.

Outside of the guy's inconsistency where do we go with this guy.I personally think if he just does his job and doesn't over play his hand we could well do worse. He plays tough has a high workrate.Definitely has things to work on but I think we don't really have too much of a choice but to stick. With the latest news GC have retailed a 3 yr 1.6 mill a year deal back on the table it seems he's going to resign with them so is Kaysa going to be the long term solution for Parra at Hooker.Seems to me BA isn't 100% sure as we tabled above a 500 k per season a year deal of which was turned down.Too me it's a bit of a mixed message being sent by us.

  • He just needs some support from the bench. Will Smith is perfect.
Kaysa' only problem is that he's expected to play at that high work rate for 80 minutes. If he can get a rest each game he'll go extremely well. He was really great against Souths. If he can get support from the bench I feel he'll improve in leaps and bounds.
    • Agreed
  • He's getting better each week but I agree with Muttman that Will Smith is great support from the bench.
  • I really don't know with Kaysa - he was absolutely woeful against the raiders, and in a few other games this year, but was good on Friday night.

His service from d/half on some occassions has been terrible and can't be totally blamed on fatigue.

Maybe, as Mutt says, he just needs support from the bench.

Very disappointed that we dropped off on Peats..

    • Kramerica it probably didn't help that his front rowers around him were getting dominated and couldn't get any momentum.Poor old Kaysa was behind the 8 ball there.

I gotta say he plays with a lot of heart and does play tough. If we can get him some props that get him that momentum his speed out of dummy half could well be a weapon we could use.

Service again helps when his front rowers get that momentum and aren't constantly playing off the back foot.
  • Bring on smith at 30th to 50th minute to give kp a spell. I think he has potential to be a good hooker but just playing too many minutes now
    • X2
  • I like him his defence is getting heaps better. I think he needs to run more he showed good speed on Friday
  • I think you can fix most of KP's issues by introducing him to Dank.
  • It's clear Kaysa's best games is when he's NOT playing 80 mins. He has more energy to play an attacking, scheming running game. The first 20 mins is typically very physical where a hooker and forwards does the most work. From a forwards rotation and size needed on the bench, I seriously think Will Smith isn't needed. BA needs to start with Scott at lock and Nathan Brown as hooker. Kaysa comes in from the 20 min mark as hooker and plays the rest of the game there. Brown drops back to lock and Scott has a rest.
