I vote Chris Sandow , Eel for Life.

Am I the only one who is seeing Sandows value.

I think he's been tremendous in the last few rounds. Sure I wouldn't want to increase the money he is on but I am not convinced that another halfback will fit our team better than he does.

That 40/20 should have been a game winner, and I believe in the big games he'll deliver.

His hustle has been fantastic and I think he's been really smart in defense.

I've got faith in Chris and I can't wait to see his smile set Parra Stadium alight on Friday night.

It doesn't get much bigger than this.

  • Not for Life but keep him for now

  • Yeah I agree resign him for another 2-3 years
  • I'll be the first to admit that I had doubts about Sandow. Not in his talent, but in his mental consistency and confidence.

However, in our much bantered pre-season Kelly vs Sandow debate I chose Sandow hands down.

His performances this season have been solid.

Let's see if he replicates this season's form into '15 before handing him the keys to the city.

  • I feel that dollar for dollar Sandow provides much better value than Cherry Evans.
Is Cherry Evans better than Sandow? Without a doubt.
Is Cherry Evans worth double the $$$$ Sandow is? For me I say definitely not.
BA has worked with him this year only. With another off season together, Sandow will develop and understand how BA likes to work. He can provide us great value for money as our #7. IMO he is good enough to help us to a premiership. I would pocket that money we would spend on Cherry and buy a GOOD(not great too expensive) forward and top up a few more of the guys we want to keep long term.
    • Agree totally Frank, it's about spreading the cap as best as possible. Hopefully we can re sign Sandow for half of DCE's asking price. If he fires next season we could be paying close to DCE asking price.

      Haven't the tables turned!

    • DCE has won a premiership, Sandow has never made the finals series. I think he's definitely worth double of Sandow's price. And if Sandow continues to play the way he is he could ask around $750k, DCE is supposedly going to ask around $1.2 million. With 3rd party deals and marquee allowance we could get DCE's money to down around $1 million towards the salary cap.

I'd much prefer an elite half and forgo a below average forward than Sandow and the below average forward.

    • Roosters built a champion team around average halves that looked better because of their monster forward pack. If we can do that I think Sandow and Norman will be fine for us into the future
  • I fully agree, he never has a quiet game and always tries something to get us into a game

  • Sign up Sandow for a few more years or if he leaves chase Maloney.

We shouldn't be looking at buy a long term halves pairing when we have Matterson, Dargan and Doolan showing great signs of promise as well.

I reckon this is the future

    Hayne

    Radradra

    Davis

    Goodall

    French

    Doolan

    Dargan

    Mannah

    Peats

    Paulo

    Mau

    Moeroa

    Matterson

    Pauli

    Fuiamono

    Edwards

    ?

"I would be looking to move him on now. He is contracted until the end of 2025 but we should be looking to move him by November 2024. We can pay the last year of his contract out. He can come over here to England and play for one of our teams."
