Buy Cronk, pay him $1mill+, whatever for at least one season, to come across as our fulltime halves and attacking coach.
Cronk can also work with our defensive coaches.
After the recent Grand Final, Cronk revealed phenomenal skills as a coach and we can groome Cronk to take over Brad Arthur as head coach in a few seasons or less, if that is what Cronk dreams for, and at worst, put up the money that far outweighs whatever Cronk will earn in the first year or two of his promising media career.
Moses is a great attacking ball player running at the defensive lines and Cronk can help Moses perfect his attacking skills and on field attitudes, while also working with Norman as our 2019 organising 7, if he stays, while also working with our awesome junior backs coming through.
With our new Coliseum and an Eels squad firing on all cylinders, the 30K packed house witnessing the renaissance of our early to mid 1980's extraordinary attacking flair, the gatetaking will more than cover the $1mill cost for bringing over Cronk.
Let Cronk have his full-time media career after helping the Eels win another 3 or 4 grand finals over the coming few seasons, with or without Brad Arthur.
And if it is still possible I would buy Cameron Smith for one or two seasons to do what he does best on the field, as captain and our rock of stability. Cameron will guide our junior hookers so that Cameron plays for 50 or 60 minutes as his career tapers off into retirement while our awesome junior hookers take over his illustrious mantle.
Fuck Craig Bellamy, it's time to snatch Cameron and with Cronk on board FUCKING WIN NEXT SEASONS GRAND FINAL with Tapeau or Klemmer or both on board.
And fuck Nick Politis and the 2019 Roosters - lets demote them.
And who says creative accounting and cunning long-term arrangements are DEAD!

Packed house at every game at the new Coliseum + huge boost in sponsorships, merchandise and the gradual and possibly much faster come back in TPA's will make all the difference.
What the fuck are we waiting for?
Bar Smith, Klemmer and Taupau, none of this spending dosh is on the Cap.
What type of board? Surf, skate, chip?
Water...
Cronk has one more season on his contract then he's retiring. He's not coming.
Wasn't aware of the 2nd year contract. Thanks for pointing this out. Fuck you Politis, just too smart.
Too late Choco Frog.
He will most likely end up with the Roosters in a coaching role now if that's the path he decides to take.
This season, Cronk has effectively played the role that Jason Taylor played with us in 2001.
It seemed pretty inevitable that Cronk was going to end up at the Roosters and it was unfortunate with the timing of the Moses signature for us.
If in hindsight you knew Cronk was moving to Sydney, you wouldn't make a play for Moses and throw everything you had at Cronk with the long term plan of him coaching the side.
This is where I think our board and club has got it so wrong over the years, we have identified the wrong type of player to come to the club.
Watmough - was never going to be anymore than a gamble with his body and age.
Jennings - asking for too much money for his on field involvement.
Moses - massive gamble at his age if he's on anywhere near the money Norman is on.
Scott - brought in to add a bit of mongrel to the pack and was a good signing in my opinion, he was offered one more year than his body could handle which was the downside.
Foran - knowing his hamstrings were as bad as they were at his age this was a massive gamble.
Cronk who puts his body on the line repeatedly and has been the benchmark halfback of the competition in terms of composure would have been a perfect fit for us and would have made Arthur look a master stroke.
facts are the results say, parra was unlucky ,we could add 30 to 40 players in the past....
now ferguson has a broken leg, will he ever come back as good maybe? or join your star studded group of ex super stars. who failed badly at the eels.
we could add rogers too, we need luck ,
