FrankenSKein - Who is the real Monster?

FrankenSKein

Who is the real monster? by SnitzelKilt.

Dr FrankenSKein (AKA Chairman Roy Spagnolo). Is he a man, whose good intention and ruthless ambition led to a disaster; or a monster, which created an abomination with complete and utter disregard for the human race?

The word “Frankenstein” is defined in the dictionary as “a creator of
something that causes ruin or destruction, or brings about a great downfall.

Dr FrankenSKein, in my opinion, is a monster. Dr FrankenSKein never truly admitted to his family (Club) what he had done, never admitted responsibility for his actions.
The persona of the monster is just a distraction and deflection of his own conscience in order to make it easier to dismiss the atrocious acts that he himself had committed...He gave rise to a MONSTER (AKA SK, or Stephen Kearney). This suggests to me that he gave life to this monstrosity so that he didn’t have to deal with his own shortcomings.

Is then Dr FrankenSKeins Monster (AKA SK, or Stephen Kearney) innocent? or just as guilty? The Monster only wanted to be accepted for what he was. He wanted to succeed but above all he just wanted acceptance.

Through his trials and sufferings; we realize that, the Monster was as innocent and defenseless as a human child. He acts as in Infancy, he is plagued by confusion of the senses. He experiences the world precisely as a young child would. His life, is almost painfully simple. He is as yet incapable of interpreting or analyzing the world or to grasp greater perceptions of it.

However, the issue of free will is involved. Is the Monster himself also responsible for all the chaos and transgressions? After all he decided to go through with it.

In the end, Dr FrankeSKein loses everything. through his creation of the Monster he leads himself down the path of destruction. He loses his friends and family. He ends up loved by no one. His experiment was a failiure. His focus on his creation, led him to a black hole, from which there was no escape. His ambition was a trait to be admired, but he took it beyond the line and it only lead to disaster, he was also a Monster in his own right.

Only after Dr FrankenSKein was taken care of, the Monster could then end his own journey. His quest was then over. He only waited for his creator to move on to the afterlife and so choosing to end his miserable existence also, rather than face life alone and lonely. He was right to blame Dr FrankenSKein for his failures; yet was also responsible for his own actions.

In the end the Monster turned out to be the reflection of the man that the world couldn’t see.

"Your last sentence NoS about Walker. I have to agree. Just watching him choose when to run, when to pass short and when to go out the back. He never throws pressure passes short or out the back. He makes the right choices all the time. "

"Good read, Pops.
Agree that DB doesn't look overly settled in his decision.
Also agree 100% with you that he is not, and likely wont be, a halfback. He is laid back, off the cuff, and that is fine, if you have Moses there to execute the game plan?…"
