HERE is the proof NSW was robbed at ANZ Stadium last night.

Ten refereeing decisions that clearly favoured the Maroons and stunned 82,000 fans at the game and millions of television viewers.

All night the Maroons got the 50-50 calls.

It was one of the worst State of Origin refereeing performances for years and here’s how it unfolded:

8 minutes — James Maloney penalised for pushing over Billy Slater (even Paul Vautin bagged the decision).

8.5 minutes — Val Holmes scores a try despite putting his foot on the line.

15 minutes — Dane Gagai belts Jarryd Hayne in the head — no action. Clear to all but two refs and two touchies.

Incidents from the 8th, 9th and 15th minutes.

37 minutes — Cameron Smith forward pass to Thurston from dummy half. Phil Gould says: “That pass was a metre forward”

39 minutes — Nathan Peats penalised for stripping on Tim Glasby — looked legitimate tackle — Glasby lost control.

42 minutes — Thurston slips then throws forward pass to Michael Morgan. Gus again: “At least a metre forward”.

Incidents from the 37th, 39th and 42nd minutes.

46 minutes — Josh Dugan taken out by Will Chambers chasing Pearce bomb (far worse than Maloney did to Slater). Should have been Blues penalty for 12-point lead.

51 minutes — Jarryd Hayne taken out by Chambers and Cronk chasing Pearce kick. Should have been a Blues penalty. QLD score try minute later.

60 minutes — Hayne penalised for strip on Gagai — clearly a loose carry.

66 minutes — Woods interfered with by QLD Dylan Napa at play the ball — should have been NSW penalty deep in own half.

Refereeing cost NSW a series win.

  • origin 1- hardly any penalties
    origin 2- penalty fest!!!!
    • inconsistent!!!!
  • More than 10, how about Wade Graham gets tackled, gets up to play the ball and get's tackled back down again

or Fafita tackled, lands on his stomach, about to get up and play the ball and gets turned on his back again.

  • Mate I was filthy with refs decisions but they did give us one back for when Graham took Billy out for absolutely no reason at all. In saying that we got no 50-50 calls all night and the one that really set me off was that forward pass that JT threw that should of almost been a penalty it was that far forward. Also the Holmes try was bullshit, his foot was clearly out and the bunker only had 1 angle to look from what a fucking crock of shit that is..... JH had one taken off him in previous years for the EXACT same thing.

Not blaming the refs for last nights loss but fuck me they made it hard, Hayne did some good things in D but also some silly things in attack like that pass he should of thrown to Morris and we did that stupid flick out the back which was never on.

The thing that really killed us though and IMO cost us the game sorry to say names because there is 16 other blokes in the team but WADE GRAHAM, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING MATE!!!!!!!! We had them down on their own goal line 3rd tackle he goes for a fucking strip..... QLD penalty march down field and score. GAME OVER

  • 100%. Like I have said before, We have a multi billion dollar game run by a commission that hides the $ figures, Can't pay the bills & fines anyone within the game that questions the ref decisions. This is a dead set dream for organised crime. Who really runs the game & what is their agenda. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ straight from the fans pockets.

  • The foot wasn't clearly on the line, sorry.

The two strip were correct imo.

Maloney was dumb to push billy without the ball - don't do it.

The forward pass thurston I agree with.

The game was lost when nsw pushed too many passes that weren't on, most of our pack were outplayed late in the second half.
    • the second one was but the first ill with hold as a pen

    • Agree
    • I agree Chief with the foot one; but we seemed to cop some avg calls.
I was more concerned about our lack of halves leading 2nd half.
Hayne hogged ball first half for an almost certain try if he passed; his defence in last try; and his stupid flick pass when on attack.

  • The only BAD call was the try

Everything else were calls that could have gone either way and there were examples for both sides especially with the calls for kick chasers getting taken out, watching the game i thought they had changed the rule but as i said these went both ways

"What I'm saying is it won't be effort but a lack of talent. Manly have so much speed out wide compared to the Eels. Not to mention Olakau'atu will use Sanders as a speed bump. Eels might score 2-3 tries but won't be able to contain Manly out wide. "
