Lots of stresses and tensions flow through our site. Sometimes it is a good idea to try and understand that there are other ways to get a kick out of life besides football alone. A balanced perspective. We are walking to the time of year when great disappointments may make your life miserable. 30 + whatever years without a premiership there are some good medications to see things differently.{other than alcohol?}

    • Tad, life hasn't been good to me in the last 10years but I've never lost my sense of humour weird as it may be. At my age waking in the morning is a huge bonus. This song sums it up for me

      • That is the song and version I have picked for my funeral.

        • Fuck bro,  and here I was telling the mrs I want 2 live crew just to stir it up a bit.

        • Slugg, MyBob, loved that. Touching. Beautiful.

          Music is often better at expressing what we want to say than words.

          • Nice song o reflect on HOE particularly thinking of the hopelessness in many people's lives who have lost everything. Floods at Lismore and War in Ukraine.Makes me feel guilty that I am powerless to do anything meaningful to help.

      • Thanks for putting that up Slugg.Wonderful unicorn song which brings a tear to my eye thinking of all the people that I have lost that have had a big impact on my life. Stay strong mate. The world can be a very lonely place for older people with health issues in particular. Hoping our little one-eyed community can give you the opportunity to share your thoughts on many issues that pop up.

        • Thanks Taddles, I’m a tough old bastard I’ve had a few health issues but I never let them get me down. Occasionally I get a bit misty when I look at mrs Sluggs  photo, 50 years in a long time. 1EE has helped me cope I’ve made friends I’ll never see and some that I have. Parramatta Tragic came down to visit a couple of weeks ago he brought cakes an chocolates. If my thoughts fail me I've always got the yawning pig

          • I remember that song very well Slugg.  Music with a story to tell and comforting to listen to

    • Yes Slugg music and the creative struggles in process behind the scenes is giving purpose to one's life. Listening to it is a temporary relief from ills life can throw at you.We are So lucky to have lived through the early Beetles era.

"Alamoti is the reason they are letting Jenkins walk i believe? They are prioritising the likes of McLean, Alamoti and the likes. They only had reportedly $350k to offer Jenkins."

"Oh of course they have. Wouldn't that be the same for BA then? But you never replied when i asked why Ryles gets a pass on recruitment but BA did not?
And they do not only sign fringe players to get 95% but they front load deals as well. So for…"

"Firstly, well done calling out Ryles as well if this signing is true as some here wont admit it. But also there would be a lot here hoping and praying he does sign so they can continue to criticise as it is more fun."

"Can we stop with the whole "New signing" thing until it is announced otherwise mentioned by another outlet? Why haven't others ran with it if Kenty has? His track record is rubbish.
Once he signs, if he is to, then go for your life.

"Having a player out there with a hammy about to snap is a huge risk to Daley's chance of winning Game 2. If it blows mid game he wastes one of his interchanges to bring in Ethan Strange. Plus, you can't have a 5/8 who's running lame in probably the…"

SULI - NO THANKS

3 runs, 4 tackles and one bad miss that led to a try in Dragons v Sharks game today. Cumbersome at best. Centres need speed and he doesn't have it. Hoping that the rumours about him signing are wrong.
